Water is life, well being and vitality

Who uses regular sugar-containing drinks increases significantly his risk of getting obesity, diabetes and tooth decay.

The Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine indicates that water is the healthiest thirst quencher for children. In lemonade or cola are (well hidden) additional calories, which are inadvertently ingested. There are different opinion about the issue of water recovery. Some people think that devices with which the water should taste better than others are the greatest – some just think that this is energizing esoteric nonsense.

The goal of almost all vitalizing devices is to bring the household water in its natural state. The vital source of water is exposed to a lot of stress until it gets into our bodies. For example  radio and cell phone waves, power lines and pipe systems have negative impact on the quality of water. The consequences from the loss of energy and vitality and calcification are and bad taste. Energized water removes lime and has a balancing and restorative effect. Vital water tastes better, potted plants can grow better and keeps cut flowers fresh longer .

If you want to revive the tap water in your house, there are three different methods:
1. Turbulence: following the example of nature water is set in motion, like a mountain stream, which is mixed up by stones and slope
2.”Transmission” through crystals and precious stones such as rose quartz –
you have have to put the water into a water carafe
3. Magnetic fields are used, like you find  in the source water that is exposed for decades under the earth to the earth’s magnetic field

Once you decide to benefit from revitalized water, you should consider to compare carefully before purchasing a device!
Take a close look at systems that combine several, or all three modes of action and see if promised results can be archieved with it.
Have the vendor explain the functions of the device accurately to you and make sure that you get a guarantee a return of at least 6 months!
And last but not least: Try It! Because ultimately the water  should taste good, too!

Examples are:

– Do not water your garden during longer periods of higher heat because it will simply vaporize.

– Make sure to use a fully loaded dishwasher and load it optimally according to the dishwasher´s manual.

– Using economical devices are essential for the use of water. Take a shower with flow restrictors and swivel sprayers.

– Make sure to have turned off the water tap while having your teeth brushed or your beard shaved.

Public Water Supply in Germany

Almost every resident of Germany, is connected to public water supply –  luxury circumstances that are rarely noticed anymore…

It is striking that the price for drinking- and waste water has increased over the last fifteen years by almost half. During this period, in Germany the average bill rose from 115 € to 171 € per  year per household member. A family of four pays accordingly to that between 260 and almost 2000 €/year. Yet, the water consumption has declined eight liters a day (per person) over  the past fifteen years due to the high water prices and growing environmental consciousness.

Nevertheless, the germans still use about 125 liters of drinking water per day, of which we consume:

32%  for toilet flushing
30% for bathing and showering
14% for laundry
6% for cleaning (face, hands and teeth)
6% for washing dishes
4% to water for garden plants
3% for household cleaning
2% for car washing

Help us to save precious water! With an water saving aerator, you can reduce  water consumption and costs by 50%!  A savings aerator reduces the water flow – by the adding air to the jet the beam still  feels thick and soft. These aerators resist limescale and work for very long time.

Water

Water is one of the most important and essential goods for the development of some life forms. The reason can be found in its basic form. Thus, we need to protect water and use it carefully.

While in some defined areas of our planet millions of people die of the lack water during the droughts, the availability of water in the western world is barley appreciated. Due to the financial crisis and the struggle against climatic changes, which we are experiencing at present, we know now how to save water. It will not only allow us to save some Euro but we also will learn to protect our environment.

The basic water- saving advices as a concrete overview are:

1. Close the water tap while having your teeth brushed or your beard shaved. Also, close, if possible, the water tap while doing the dishes or washing yourself or try to close slightly the main water tap.

2. Installing swivel sprayers is the quickest, best-saving and easiest way of saving water and energy. It will save up to 50% of the water consumption. Furthermore, it is simultaneously less energy required. If you spend a little heated water, the consumption of energy will be automatically lesser, too.

This standardized swivel sprayer is useful for all brands of fittings. Usually, it is installed in kitchen fittings and bidets. The inside of swivel sprayers is resistant to corrosion and extends the life of water saving products.

New technologies to save water

1. The reuse of the grey water

Over and over again, there is other information about how water can be reprocessed. This is the case of separate water conducts, for example, in order to accumulate the grey water which comes out of the shower and the sink. This water is caught in depots and undergoes a biological cleaning process. After that, it is available for the use in wc-cisterns, the garden watering or cleaning. By making use of this method, it can be saved astonishing 30-60% of the water consumption.

2. Water taps

There have been new technologies developed which are efficient in terms of saving water and water ecology:

Water taps which control the quantity of water: They limit the major flow of water. They are recommendable for public places. Their rate of saving water is 50%.

Water taps with a Push-Button: They are turned on by a button and they are turned off automatically after a certain time. Usually, an individual set up of the time interval is possible.

Water taps equipped with infrared sensors: They have an infrared function which is activated through close hand movements. Water will start running if hands are underneath the water tap, it will stop if hands are far from the water tap. The set up is done electronically. The rate of saving water is possible up to 80%.

3. Water saving devices

Devices which can be installed onto water taps or cisterns. Their costs are low and they have a high benefit considering the water economy. Besides, they are very easy to install.

4. Swivel sprayer

That is a device which mingles water with air. Water drops come out like pearls. It is proven that the rate of water savings is up to 40%.

5. Water saving shower heads or flow restrictors

These devices decrease the water quantity depending on the pressure. The rate of water savings is up to 60%.

6. Shower´s on-off switch for water quantity

Devices which interrupt the flow of water in the shower. These devices allow the person to soap himself without a non-stop running shower and continuous showering at a temperature set beforehand. Water savings are up to 40%.

World Water Day

The World Water Day is held every year since 1993 on March 22. It was proposed & decided  in Agenda 21 of the UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro and at the UN General Assembly (in addition to Malaysia’s request) in a resolution on 22nd in December 1992.
The resolution calls on all UN member states to start at the World Water Day concrete actions to make the public aware of the valuable water resources and to save water.
The theme of this year’s World Water Day is “Water for the city“. This theme 2011, recalled that both, the rapidly increasing urbanization in the emerging and developing countries, as well as the impact of urban regions in Europe constitute major challenges to living near  the waters.
Water is vital source for humans, animals and plants. Rivers and other waters are used worldwide as a natural drainage channel. This is a significant threat to the health of residents and users.
It becomes a vicious circle, as rivers (especially in urban areas) are used both for washing and bathing, as well as to serve drinking water.
But even in Europe, we  must focus on to the waters in urban areas, and pay more attention, especially flood-adapted building will remain an important aspect of urban settlement planning.

World Water Day
is to call the people around the world to remember that water is the basis of all life.
All meeting facilities, institutions and organizations that provide water management tasks are pointing out the immeasurable value of clean drinking water on this day.
The theme of World Water Day 1993 “Caring for our water resources is everyone’s business”
(It is everyone’s job to protect our valuable water resources) is more relevant than ever!

Water saving -made easy

More and more of the population are aware of how precious and important water is. Drinking water is the most important food that can not be replaced! It is also important for the environment!
Here are some tips:
• shower instead of taking baths: a bath uses about the same amount of water,  as 3 full showers
• When brushing your teeth turn off the water!  Don´t let the unused water  run for minutes  in the drain.
• dish-washing machines are more economical than hands-a dishwasher for 12 place settings needs about  19 l water. In the sink are  about 50 liters of water and almost twice the amount of electricity is needed to heat it. Ensure full utilization of the dishwasher!
• When purchasing new bathroom facilities ensure that they are equiped with water saving devices :
a toilet cistern with saving function or the installation of a stop device can save 50% of  water
• Left over water (eg, coffee machine), does not necessarily have to be poured in the
Drain. It can  still be used for watering the flowers.
• Appliances upgrade: watersaving showerheads can save as much as 50%
Flow restrictor: they reduce the amount of water flowing per minute without sacrificing comfort by 30-50%.

Remember: For a sixth of the world population, water is pure luxury! Please act resposible.

Productivity of water

The lack of water, as a hydraulic problem, has become an economical matter to a major degree. Considering the fact that the demand of water is almost 90% in the agricultural sector as well as the industrial production, it is in fact a rare resource also in other economical areas of application.

It is important to consider that the lack of water also have an economical aspect because the characteristics for the generation of other means need to be maintained.

Natural resource

Without doubt, water is one of the most valuable natural resources. The majority of our planet consists of water. 97% of the total water volume is saltwater and only 3% covers the rest which is available for the human consumption. Henceforth, we continuously have to pay attention, nowadays, to our water consumption and apply consequently its economy. By having easy methods, we can minimize great energy costs of stove or water consumption. The greatest energy or water spending places are bathroom and kitchen. We have to increase our attention to these places in order to recognize, along which routine and new customs, how we can improve the use and the reduction of water. Additionally to the change of our behavior, it is important to make use of new installations and more efficient fittings for water conducts, water taps and so on.

In the followings, we will give you some ideas for water saving measures within your own four walls:

In the bathroom:

– Pour your tooth mug with water when brushing your teeth. Only use the water of the mug to wet the tooth brush and rinsing instead of letting run the water tap for a long time.

– Take a shower with water saving shower heads and decrease the consumption to a half and more. Make use of a 6-liter cistern equipped with a gravity system.

In the kitchen:

– Turn on the dish washer only in the case when it is fully loaded with dishes. Moreover, it is worth it to substitute old electronic devices by new ecofriendly ones which have a lower energy and water consumption.

– You can wash your fruits and vegetables in a cup or a small bowl instead of washing them at a non-stop running water tap.

Water saving installations

Water is a rare and needful good. Decreasing its consumption has become a challenge for every country. In particular, it affects countries which are encountering longer droughts due to the global warming. Thus, people provide themselves with gadgets which prevent a water waste at ordinary water consumption.

There are already some water saving devices and certain products for a moderate water consumption. The use of these devices will be rewarded in that moment when the consumer receives his utility bill.

These installations often keep up the water pressure or even increase it. They control the influx of the water in order to spend that much which is actually needed. In fact, big companies such as hotels, restaurants or gyms have already installed such devices: among them there are the most common influx restrictors, the so-called “economical” showers and other flow regulators for tap water.

Changing one´s own daily customs can be another key for saving water. A step-up is not to supervise the obvious losses in pipes, cisterns or water taps. It is also necessary to get informed about useful devices which are able to help our water economy:

Swivel sprayers:

They are coiled up inside the water tap. They produce water which is mingled with air. At the same time they maintain the same pressure or increase it in comparison to the conventional systems.

One-handle panels:

Replace conventional panels in order to have an easier checkup of the amount and temperature of the water.

Thermostatic bullets:

They are inserted into the water taps; consequently there is no replacement of the controls needed. They make it possible to get the required temperature of the water without having the water tap turned on for a long time.
